Your organization has a public giving site at
https://YOUR-SUBDOMAIN.goodbooks.app/donate where donors can give online.
On top of that, any campaign can get its own
landing page — a focused giving page with its own web address, headline,
photo, and goal thermometer. Perfect for a QR code on the gala table, a link
in the newsletter, or a building-fund push.
Availability: Core plan and up. Your plan sets how many giving pages you can have live at once, counting your main donate page (Core: 5, Pro: unlimited).
Turning on a landing page
Open the campaign (Donations → Campaigns) and go to its Landing Page tab:
- Switch Landing page enabled on.
- Choose the Page URL — the part after
/give/, e.g.building-fund. Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. GoodBooks checks availability as you type. - Optionally add a Headline (defaults to the campaign name) and upload a Hero Image (1200×400 px works best).
- Save. The page is live immediately at
https://YOUR-SUBDOMAIN.goodbooks.app/give/your-url— use the Open button to see it.
Choose the URL carefully — it's permanent. Once saved, the address is reserved for that campaign forever, even if you later disable the page. That's deliberate: a URL that's already on printed materials should never start pointing somewhere else.
The main donate page vs. landing pages
- The main donate page (
/donate) lists your campaigns and lets the donor pick one. Each campaign has a "Show on main donate page" switch — turn it off for campaigns that should only be reachable by their direct link (say, a members-only appeal). - A landing page (
/give/your-url) is single-purpose: it's for one campaign only, with its own headline and image. If the campaign has a goal amount, the page shows progress toward it.
Turning a page off
Flip Landing page enabled off and save. The public page stops rendering, but the URL stays reserved and every gift made through it stays in your records. Re-enable any time and the same address comes back.
Good to know
- Gifts made on a landing page are ordinary online donations — they settle through deposit batches when your card processor pays out, with receipts, statements, and campaign totals all working normally.
- If you downgrade to a plan without landing pages, your pages pause (the public page stops rendering) but nothing is deleted — URLs and history are preserved, and everything comes back on upgrade.
- The goal thermometer measures net gifts to the campaign from all sources — not just gifts made through the landing page.
- Want a shorter link to print? Both
/give/your-urland/pay/your-urlreach the same page.
